It’s here! The first official trailer for In the Blood is out.

Gina Carano stars as Ava, a trained fighter with a dark past. When her new husband (Cam Gigandet) vanishes during their Caribbean honeymoon, Ava uncovers a violent underworld of conspiracy in the middle of an island paradise. Armed with a deadly set of skills, Ava sets out to discover the truth — and to take down the men she thinks are responsible for his abduction, one by one.

The film will be released in select US theaters, On Demand, and on iTunes on April 4th.

Mark your calendars! In the Blood is set to be released in select US cinemas and video-on-demand on April 4th. They also released the first poster for the film, and I’ve added one movie still of Cam to the gallery.

Anchor Bay Films has acquired North American rights to In The Blood, starring Cam Gigandet and former MMA fighter Gina Carano.

The movies focuses on a female character played by Carano. When Ava’s husband goes missing during their Caribbean vacation, she sets off on her own to take down the men she thinks are responsible. The producers Shaun Redick and Pay Mansfield of Movie Package Company say that the film represents the start of a strong female franchise character and audiences are going to love seeing Gina Carano as Ava.

Anchor Bay plans a 2014 theatrical release and will be distribute with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Cam has been very busy recently filming several different projects. Right now he is filming In the Blood in Puerto Rico. There are no many information on the storyline but FOX News Latino reports:

“Carano, known for her role in “Haywire,” plays a woman on a mission to find her husband who went missing during their honeymoon on a Caribbean island.”

Seems like Cam is playing on of the main characters. The cast also includes Stephen Lang, Treat Williams, Luis Guzman, Amaury Nolasco, Ismael Cruz Cordova and Danny Trejo.
