Good news! Gravitas Ventures has acquired US rights to Bad Johnson, a comedy film starring Cam Gigandet, Jamie Chung, and Nick Thune.

Here is the film’s official synopsis:

In BAD JOHNSON, written by Jeff Tetreault, Cam Gigandet (TWILIGHT, EASY A) plays Rich, a suave Chicago ladies’ man who refuses to take personal responsibility for his inability to maintain a lasting relationship. After his constant infidelities alienate yet another girlfriend (Jamie Chung, THE HANGOVER PARTS II & III, SUCKER PUNCH), he wishes he could say goodbye to his ‘little friend.’ The next morning he awakes in horror to find that his wish has been granted and his penis has taken human form: A disgusting, selfish, oversexed jerk riotously portrayed by comedian Nick Thune (KNOCKED UP). Pitted against his alter ego, Rich must figure out how to rein in his penis, both literally and figuratively, in order to finally learn what separates the men from their boys.

The film is set to have its theatrical release on May 2nd.

Cam has been very busy lately. He is currently working on Johnson where he plays a womanizing bachelor who wishes he didn’t have his manhood after his promiscuity lands him in trouble. When he gets his wish (in a strange way), he ends up questioning whether there’s more to life than bed-hopping. Cam commented:

“Some will think it’s stupid. Hopefully more will find it funny.”

We do too. So why did Cam join the team?

“This is my first comedy. I was up for the challenge. I wanted to do a comedy, and this was right up my alley — my kind of silly humor. I wasn’t going to jump onto a Vince Vaughn movie. This one, I felt like I could be myself and have fun without too much pressure.”

Johnson filming has just started in Chicago and will wrap on October 31.
