Cam Joslin Gigandet was born on August 16, 1982 in Tacoma, Washington to parents Jay and Kim. He has one sister named Kelsie. After graduating from Auburn Senior High School in Auburn, Washington in 2001, Cam moved to California where he went to Santa Monica Community College where he took his first acting class.
In 2003, Cam landed a guest role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in the fourth season playing Mark Young. It was his television debut which led to other roles in The Young and the Restless, Jack & Bobby and The OC, where he played Kevin Volchok. He starred in a few movies including Mistaken (2004), Who’s Your Caddy (2007) and Never Back Down and Twilight in 2008. His had a role in 2009’s The Unborn before signing on for the 2010 musical Burlesque starring Cher and Christina Aguilera. Cam has had a plethora of movie roles since which has been stretching his acting abilities.
Cam has been honored with awards including “One to Watch,” which he recieved at the 10th Annual Young Hollywood Awards. He won an MTV Movie Award with Sean Faris for “Best Fight” for Never Back Down and “Rising Male Star of the Year” from Home Entertainment. In 2009, he won his second MTV Movie Award for “Best Fight” for Twilight.
In 2009, Cam also welcomed his beautiful baby girl, Everleigh Ray Gigandet, into the world. In 2013, the family got its fourth member, Rekker Radley Gigandet.
