Thanks once again to the all-powerful Twitter, we’ve heard straight from the horse’s mouth (in this case, director Scott Stewart’s) that production on Screen Gems’ adaptation of Min-Woo Hyung’s Tokyo Pop comic Priest is a wrap!
Stewart (whose Twitter identity is @robotproof) recently tweeted:
• “Principal photography on Priest is complete! Best crew I’ve ever worked with. A bittersweet day.”
… which he followed up with today …• “Recovering from the Priest wrap party at Dodger Stadium last night. So much fun. Speeches from home plate. Sizzle reel on the jumbotron!”
Priest is a post-apocalyptic horror thriller set in a world ravaged by war between man and vampires. Paul Bettany stars as a warrior priest and vampire fighter who teams with a sheriff (Cam Gigandet) and warrior priestess (Maggie Q) to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece. The film opens in the US on October 1, 2010.
